These mistakes can add weeks or even months to the time it takes until your tenant is evicted. Some can even result in counter-suits that cost landlords thousands of dollars. This class will cover everything eviction related from filing your case at the courthouse to hiring the sheriff to remove your tenant.

This class does NOT cover tenant violations and what termination notices you need to serve to have the right to file an eviction. We cover that in our 3 hour Tenant Violations class. Look at our events calendar for our Tenant Violations class that we teach once every quarter.

    Assistance Animals and

    Reasonable Accommodations

You see the article headline far too often, “Landlord Sued for $150,000 for Fair Housing Violations!” Unfortunately, most landlords don’t intend to be discriminatory, but ignorance is not a defense. We will teach you about Reasonable Accommodations, Assistance Animals / Therapy Animals, the most common mistakes, and how to best protect yourself from Fair Housing violation claims.

    Managing Section 8 Tenants -

What to expect and best practices

By law you can't deny an applicant because they are on section 8 or another subsidy program to pay their rent. So if you can't say that you don't take section 8 tenants then it is best to know what to expect. We will go through the paperwork you can expect, inspection schedule, property requirements, as well as how you get access to up to $5,000 towards a balance owed to by a previous section 8 tenant.

This class qualifies for 1.5 CE hours with the Oregon Real Estate Licensing Agency.
